Greetings to you, in God’s love.

The Music Ministry at St. Stephen’s extends to you our deepest sympathy. We want to do everything in our power to minister to you during this time of grief and attempt to provide some solace in your sorrow. As part of this effort, we have established a Memorial Choir that ministers in song at funeral liturgies. Mrs. Evie Dooley, their director and regular funeral organist, will be happy to select appropriate music for the funeral. If, however there are specific hymns or songs you would like included, she will attempt to accommodate you.

Listed below are hymns that are known to our parish community and frequently used at funerals. Feel free to select up to three to be used. Also bear in mind, this list is not exclusive, and if your loved one had some expressed wish or you have some particular music in mind, please feel free to inquire about using it. Please contact Mrs. Dooley at your earliest convenience in planning for the music. Additionally, if you have no specific music preferences, Mrs. Dooley will be happy to make the selections for you.

Finally, the choir is available to sing some special meditation pieces, as noted below.  If not noted as a choir piece, the worship aid will include song numbers for congregational singing. If you would like a specific song to be instrumental, please inform Mrs. Dooley.

If there is any way I can be of service, do not hesitate to call upon me.
